Business overview

Victorian Tile Restoration & Repair provides specialist conservation, restoration and repair services for Victorian floor tiles, encaustic tiles, geometric floors and historic mosaics across Scotland. Based near Edinburgh, we work with homeowners, architects, churches, local authorities and conservation professionals on projects ranging from small entrance vestibules to significant listed buildings and heritage properties. Our services include the careful cleaning of Victorian tiles, replacement of missing or damaged tiles, re-bedding loose floors, grout repairs, mosaic restoration, floor stabilisation and the sourcing of reclaimed and reproduction tiles to achieve sympathetic repairs. Every project begins with an assessment of the floor's condition to identify any underlying issues before restoration work begins. Using traditional craftsmanship and conservation principles, we aim to preserve as much original historic fabric as possible while ensuring every restored floor remains attractive, durable and suitable for continued use. We also design and install new Victorian-style geometric tile floors for period properties and undertake projects throughout Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Stirling, Inverness and across Scotland.
